【摘要】:Inperformingmaintenanceofacoatingsystem,thenewcoatingbeingappliedmustbecompatiblewiththeexistingcoating.Whilegeneralguidesexistwhichindicatecompatibilityofdifferentgenerictypesofcoatings,differencesinmanufacturerrsquo;formulationandtheconditionofthein-placecoatingmayaffectcompatibility.1.1Thispracticecoverstheproceduresfortestingcoatingcompatibilitywhenmaintenanceofanin-placecoatingsystemisbeingcontemplated.Itdoesnotcoverproceduresforassessingtheintegrityoftheexistingcoatingtodetermineifitcanberepainted,nordoesitestablishthecompatibilityofthemaintenancecoatingsystemwiththesubstrateorcorrosionproducts.Thepracticeisintendedforuseinthefield.Note1-Pass-FailCriteria(forexample,adhesionrequirements)arenotestablishedbythispractice.Theseshouldbeestablishedbytheuserorspecifierwithinputfromthesupplier.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
