【摘要】:Absorbeddosesoforbelow1kGycaninactivatesomeparasites,suchasthebroadfishtapeworm(Dibothrocephaluslatus)(2).Absorbeddosesbelow10kGycanreduceoreliminatevegetativecellsofpathogenicsporeformingandnon-sporeformingmicroorganisms,suchasClostridiaspp.,Vibriospp.,Salmonellae,Listeriamonocytogenes,orStaphylococcusaureus,thatmaybepresentinfreshorfrozenproduct.Absorbeddosesbelow10kGycanreducethenumbersofsomespores,butarenotadequatetoreducethepotentialhealthriskfrommicrobialsporesortoxins(3).Absorbeddosesbelow10kGycanreduceoreliminatethevegetativecellsofsporeformingandnon-sporeformingmicroorganisms,suchasBacillusorPseudomonasspecies,thatcausespoilageoffreshproduct,thusextendingrefrigeratedshelflifeinmanycases(4).1.1Thisguideoutlinesproceduresandoperationsfortheirradiationofraw,untreated,fresh(chilled),orfrozenfinfishandaquaticinvertebrates,whileensuringthattheirradiatedproductissafeandwholesome.1.1.1Aquaticinvertebratesincludemolluscs,crustacea,echinoderms,etc.1.1.1.1Molluscsincludebivalveshellfish,suchasclams,mussels,andoysters;snails;andcephalopods,suchassquidandoctopus.1.1.1.2Crustaceaincludeshellfishsuchasshrimp,lobster,crabs,prawnsandcrayfish.1.1.1.3Echinodermsincludeseaurchinsandseacucumbers.1.2Thisguidecoversabsorbeddosesusedtoreducethemicrobialandparasitepopulationsinaquaticinvertebratesandfinfish.Suchdosestypicallyarebelow10kGy(1).1.3Theuseofreduced-oxygenpackaging(vacuumormodifiedatmosphere,andincludingproductspackedinoil)withirradiated,rawproductisnotcoveredbythisguide.Theanaerobicenvironmentcreatedbyreduced-oxygenpackagingprovidesthepotentialforoutgrowthof,andtoxinproductionfrom,Clostridiumbotulinumspores.1.4Thisguidedoesnotcovertheirradiationofsmokedordriedfishtoreducemicrobialloadortocontrolinsectinfestation.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
