【摘要】:Theamountofwearinanysystemwill,ingeneral,dependuponanumberofsystemfactorssuchastheappliedload,machinecharacteristics,slidingspeed,slidingdistance,theenvironment,andmaterialproperties.Theprimaryvalueofthisweartestmethodliesinpredictingtherelativerankingofmaterials.Thistestmethodimposesconditionsthatcausemeasurablemasslossesanditisintendedtorankmaterialsforapplicationsinwhichmoderatetosevereabrasionoccurs.Testmaterialsshouldbereasonablyresistanttosuchabrasion.Sincethisabrasiontestdoesnotattempttoduplicatealloftheconditionsthatmaybeexperiencedinservice(forexample,abrasiveparticlesize,shape,hardness,speed,load,andpresenceofacorrosiveenvironment),thereisnoassurancethatthistestmethodwillpredictthewearrateofagivenmaterialunderconditionsdifferingfromthoseinthistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingthewearresistanceofamaterialwhenrelativemotioniscausedbetweenanabrasivecloth,paper,orplasticfilmandacontactingpinofthetestmaterial.Theprincipalfactorsandconditionsrequiringattentionwhenusingthistypeofapparatustomeasureweararediscussed.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
